Might be your best podcast ever!
I’ve listened twice.
OMG I’d forgotten just how great this movie was, thanks for the reminder. The quotes and esp Aretha Franklin singing in this just made me want to get up and dance and sing along and everything else! I went straight onto spotify and downloaded all the songs from the movie and I can’t stop listening to them all!! Thanks guy another entertaining podcast
You better think. Think about listening to this podcast. Great job again guys and sounding awesome Gidgit. Love the inclusion of music, quotes and so many behind the scene facts. Plus such a perfect movie. RIP Aretha.
Another brilliant podcast from my favorite podcasters Angry and Gidgit.
I fess up to being addicted to your wonderful podcast. I never miss it.
Thank you for putting a huge smile on my face every week.
Bit behind here …again. But THANK YOU for this podcast.
It’s mental that even tho this film has a huge cult following and a million tribute acts it still feels like something niche …if you quoted the lines no EVERYONE would get it.
Your podcasts not only remind me of the films but of the time and emotions.
I fell upon this film.early 80s I must have been 8-9. My Mum in her wisdom let me stay up late to watch it. And I regret NEVER thanking her. I loved it… still love it… some time later Santa brought me the Soundtrack on 33rpm I still have it, dog earred n well played .
The songs – as you mentioned both those in soundtrack and background songs – Sam n Dave etc …the joy.. the dance.. the cast full of legends.. the car chases and the message (saving an orphanage) all worked for me and it remains my favourite films.
It opened up both.my musical and movie education.. a great first class ;0)
As always thanks for the podcast and the memories.
So precious.
